Join Through the Trees Guide, Kendall, on a walk to identify edible springtime plants. Learn how to identify and how to responsibly harvest plants for food and medicinal use. This class will begin with a brief guided relaxation and end with some wild foraged tea. Please bring a small mug for tea. The walk will take place on a forested trail and field. There may be muddy areas. Long pants and closed-toed footwear is recommended. There are no bathroom facilities available, however guests are welcome to use the outdoor “facilitrees.” Be sure to carry out any used toilet paper in a plastic baggie.
Items you may wish to bring in a small pack:
Small mug for tea (extras will be available)
Water
Natural insect repellent
Towel or cushion to sit on on
Notebook and pen/pencil
Toilet paper and plastic baggie (carry out from any use of the facilitrees)
All of our in-person classes follow the COVID-19 guidelines outlined by the State of Maine. Our classes are outside and there is no surface contact. For the month of May our classes are limited to 10 people while practicing 6ft distancing. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you please not attend. Hand sanitizer will be available. Please bring your own small mug for tea.

This event is taking place at the enchanting Frost Gully Woods Trail in Freeport. Access the parking area at the trailhead by driving through Burr Cemetery off of Rt. 136 in Freeport. Map and directions can be found here.

At this time we are offering a Giving and Receiving payment model. If you are currently not able to pay for this experience, we would like to gift it to you. If you are in a position to contribute payment, we are in need of financial resources to keep our organization running. The suggested amount is $20 per person. Please register each participant separately. Additional donations are welcome and appreciated.
