OCTOBER CLASS FOCUS: Owls, Spiders and Killer Plants!
On the first Friday of each month, families come together at Through The Trees to become citizen scientists! Join us as we search for clues about these spooky forest friends: owls, spiders and killer plants!
We will take a walk to find and identify spooky creatures and their creations. We will focus on spiders, owls and the invasive bittersweet plant. Be prepared for a wilderness adventure with closed-toe shoes and long pants. We will weave in some art and play with creating real life replicas of spider webs!
All ages welcome, however this class is targeted to ages 12 and under. This is not a drop off program. Parents and children learn together. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and stay after for some playing and socializing. Outhouse bathrooms available.
The program will run from 10am-12pm with an optional BYO lunch and free play until 1pm.
COST: $25 per Family
Payment is non-refundable. If Through the Trees cancels the event due to extreme weather or other reasons, a make up date will be offered. Guests will be notified via email early on the morning of this class is there is a cancellation. Events/classes may be held in rain/snow, and cancelled only in more extreme weather, so please plan accordingly.
Classes support our Youth Scholarship Fund for nature programs. Thank you!
