We are excited to share this retreat, led by Through the Trees’ Executive Director Marcia Griffin’s sister Nina and her husband Ray.

Step into the cradle of Western civilization for a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience tailored for homeschooling families and parents who would like to explore 'An Odyssey Through the Pantheon'. This retreat is a hybrid program that combines a series of 3 engaging online Zoom classes with an immersive 7-day retreat in ancient coastal Greece.

Led by passionate guides and educators Ray and Nina Crist, this program brings mythology, language, history, and nature to life in the land where  the 12 Olympian gods once ruled and Democracy was founded! 

Before we gather in Greece, your child will be introduced to:
📚 Greek mythology & storytelling
🗣️ Basic Greek language
🏛️ The lives and lessons of the 12 Olympians

Then, from March 7–14, 2026, your family will be welcomed to a serene seaside village nestled between mountains and the sea, where you'll explore temples and walk sacred paths with daily adventures of ancient coastal Greece. 

Each day unfolds with ease and intention.
Begin your morning quietly, perhaps with a cappuccino by the sea as the kids swim and play along the shoreline. The air is soft, the pace unhurried. There’s space for a walk through nature trails, a barefoot stroll on the beach, or simply time to exhale and be.

This retreat is a co-creation — shaped by the group’s desires and guided by the rhythm of the moment.

Maybe we'll stop at the local bakery for warm, flaky pastries… or pull over on a mountain road to capture that once-in-a-lifetime view.

It’s a time for exploration led by the heart, where presence and spontaneity are our true guides!
