“I’m not a teacher. How can I teach my child everything he needs to know?”
“I feel like I’m going to miss things and my child will be behind.”
“How do I cover all of the subjects and how do I know exactly what to teach?”
If these sound like some of your concerns as a homeschool parent, then this class on project-based learning might be for you! Join us for this session or register for all three:
Self-Directed Learning: Thursday, August 13th 7:30-8:30pm
Project-Based Learning: Monday, August 17th 7:30-8:30pm
Portfolio Building: Wednesday, August 19th 7:30-8:30pm
Project-Based Learning
Join us on Zoom for an online information session with Through the Trees Guides and homeschooling moms as we discuss project-based learning as a dynamic student-centered academic approach that can make the learning process easier and more valuable for parents and your child/teen. Focusing on projects that pull in various subjects, engages the student and results in a deeper knowledge and a love for learning. Learn how this style, which is often embraced by homeschooling families as well as many schools, can be beneficial to your child or teen and how you can successfully implement it, or pull pieces into your routine as you navigate life as homeschoolers. Whether you choose to follow this learning philosophy or not, our hope is that it will ease common parent concerns of needing to teach their children everything and worrying that their children aren’t learning what they “should.”
Cost: $20 Single Session, $50 all 3 Sessions
You will receive an email with the Zoom link the evening of the session.
