Fire has played a vital role in human existence for centuries, from providing light and keeping predators away to offering comfort, warmth, and a place to gather. Trees have been valued for medicinal uses in Native American and Chinese medicine practices and beyond. In this workshop you will learn how to make a fire with only your surrounding natural materials and matches, and have time to practice your skills in a fire making challenge! Sustainable use of trees as medicine and food will also be discussed and we will collect ingredients to make a tea over your fire.

Cost $35pp and enroll a friend for $15. Youth, ages 14 and up also welcome!
